Welcome! We are glad you and your children are here with us at Faith Community Church!

Children are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127). In fact, Jesus said “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14). We are beyond grateful that children are here with us this morning, and count them as a gift from God.

We believe we, the church and you as parents, can partner together to help children be raised to know the truth about God, the practices of the church, and how to honor and worship God in a reverent way in our worship services and in their daily lives! What an honorable and important task!h week. We have kid-check in ready to go by our Faith Kids Volunteers who takes the responsibility of caring for families and their children very seriously. We also want to come alongside the family to help in discipleship. Come see us at Faith Kids, we can't wait to see you!

OUR WORSHIP SERVICES ARE INTENTIONALLY INTEGRATED

We believe in inter-generational ministry for several reasons. We believe the ministry of the church is for all ages and should be primarily enjoyed together. As the oldest of saints and the youngest of saints come together, we embody the host of heaven which will one day stand around the throne of God together. The church should be a family and all family members are welcome to participate together. The worship service, which includes the singing, praying, reading, seeing, and preaching of the Word has great implications as we gather together to glorify God in the ways he has prescribed in the Word. If you have children in service with you, sit towards the front where it is easier for your children to see and hear what’s going on.

WHAT TO DO?

We have childcare for 0-3 year olds. If you would like to take advantage of this, please let one of our members help you. If you have children in service with you, sit towards the front where it is easier for your children to see and hear what’s going on. Quietly explain the parts of the service to your children. Sing the songs, recite the benediction, open your Bible and follow along, and show them in their Bibles. Engage in all that is going on with your kids!

THE KIDS ARE DISTRACTING?

Perhaps, but because we are so committed to the good that comes from children in the service, we will all joyfully endure age-appropriate distractions to the glory of God.

If you have to leave service, feel free to do so, but please come back if possible. We understand there are times when you may feel the need to step out, but know that we are not distracted by the inevitable minimal noises and movements of children.

MY KIDS ARE NOT DISCIPLINED ENOUGH TO SIT IN SERVICE

God has given you to your children and your children to you. Rather than viewing them as a burden, believe the truth. Your children are a gift from God! There is no better time to grow in the area of discipling your children through teaching them discipline, than the present. We fully understand this is not easy. It can be difficult, but the effort and energy is worth it!

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it”. From the earliest times of a child's life, the way they “should go” is worshipping the Lord with the body of Christ together. How else will they learn what it means to be a part of the church?

TO THE MEMBERS OF FCC

Remember the way children are welcomed into church affects the way they respond to church, to God, and to others. Let them see, hear, and believe the truths we proclaim about God, His Word, and His Church.

Please welcome the children and parents who are here with a warm Christ-like welcome!
